Here are some more details of this year's contest

 

Local Drain businesses sponsored the contest (put up the prize money to inspire participants and to help fundraise for DIVA art programs). They put up scarecrows at their place of business. Some made their own scarecrows and some businesses donated extra money instead to have DIVA make them a scarecrow for their business. The business entries weren't eligible for the cash prizes but we decided to add a community choice vote so you could pick your favorite business entry. The business entry getting the most votes was Zolezzi Insurance and they got basket of goodies from DIVA. 

 

 

This was our first year of sponsoring the scarecrow contest. We learned a lot trying it out, will change it up for next year and hope to make it way bigger and even more fun. So start planning your entry for next year.
