DIVA lost a good friend recently
As we focused on caring for our friend Gerry Paulsen the last two months while he battled cancer, we were unable to keep this site up to date.
Gerry passed Sunday, May 27, surrounded by his friends who were like family. He was an important part of what we do in this community and he will be missed very much.
Please join us in celebrating his life by helping us decorate the "ghost" bike outside our gallery with momentos. The bike will be our "art show" for the month of June. Our First Friday of the Month Art Show (June 1) will be dedicated to him. Come share a Gerry story and some food and drink in his honor. 5-7 p.m. in the Gather to Share Garden by the mural.

PLANT SALE! We still have plenty of veggie starts and flower starts for sale. Just $1 each. We should have a nice selection through the end of the first week of June. If we are not there, please just put payment in an envelope and slip in the door. Thank you!
COME PAINT WITH US IN THE GARDEN EVERY SATURDAY AFTEROON IN JUNE
We will set out paint supplies 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. for you to use or you can bring your own. All skill levels and ages are welcome. We can provide some instruction or you can do your own thing! If you are using our materials, donations are always welcome but not necessary.
FREE CRAFTS for kids will be set up in the garden every Saturday in June 1-3 p.m.
SUNFLOWER SUMMER IS HERE! Watch as we dress up Drain with sunflower plantings. If you would like to help, join our volunteers every Friday 9-noon.
Everyone is encouraged to plant their own sunflowers around town, too.
SUNFLOWER SHOW INVITE! Everyone is welcome to bring a sunflower-related painting or other work of art to the gallery for our Sunflower Summer Show. All pieces must be for sale and priced, with 1/2 of the sale price to be donated to DIVA to help raise funds for more free art events in the community. There will be lots of prizes awarded to entrants as well. We will start hanging the show in June and it will go on through the end of August.
THE DIVA ART VAN will take its first run as we head to the Summer Arts Festival in Roseburg (Fir Grove Park) on Sunday, June 24. Come paint and make art with us, 10-4 p.m. (Sunday only)
THE DIVA GALLERY and gift shop at 128 W. C. Ave. in Drain will be open regularly on Fridays 9-4 p.m. and Saturdays 10-4 p.m. (June and July).
We will be out in the community doing other projects on other days throughout the summer. Feel free to join in the fun when you see us making art or cleaning up areas or gardening around town.
HAVE YOU VISITED OUR GALLERY, LIBRARY AND GATHER TO SHARE GARDEN RECENTLY? There are some wonderful changes taking place. The garden is expanding and the pear trees are blossoming. Our gallery and gift shop has new art and gifts for sale and our library is filled with art, cooking, craft and gardening books to share with the community.
DIVA is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit arts organization dedicated to lifting community spirit through shared art events that are accessble to everyone. In 2015, the organization moved from Eugene to Drain.
Our gallery, gift shop, mural and art/share garden are all located at 128 W. C. Avenue in Drain, Oregon (PO Box 422, Drain, Oregon 97435).
